Jobs 253 connects TPS high school students with paid internship experiences at businesses and organizations throughout the Tacoma community. Beginning in October all internship opportunities and applications will now be housed in SchooLinks.

Moving Jobs 253 to SchooLinks will streamline things for both students and employers. Students already use SchooLinks for high school and beyond planning, resume building, career and college exploration. For employer partners, the move to SchooLinks will give more insight into applicants and simplify the hiring process.

Next steps for students

Students can already access SchooLinks through the Clever app using their TPS login. Step by step instructions to find Jobs 253 in SchooLinks are available online. Additional tutorials and step-by-step resources will be available to help students and families navigate the new process.

Next steps for employers

All employer partners will transition to SchooLinks beginning with session two. Training opportunities for employers will begin in October. During the trainings, employers will learn how to access their account, navigate their postings, review interested student applicants, and manage the placement process.
