Welcome to another edition of Silas Weekly! Several of our teams have entered post-season, while others are still battling for those post-season spots!

🎳Bowling

In their last regular season match of the season this past Tuesday, the Rams took down the Lincoln Abes 4 – 1. Silas bowled a new team high of 834 and an overall match high of 1,819! Standout bowling from senior Eislyn Douthit with a 161 and 184, Taylor Coleman with a 163, Katie Keehan with a 158, Lilah Maginnis with a 186, and TK Knickerbocker with a 141 and 143.

On Friday, the Rams bowled in the PSL League Tournament. They stayed determined, placing 5^th and qualifying for Districts! The team bowled a new high baker of 189. Great bowling from Eislyn Douthit with a 194, Taylor Coleman with 148, and TK Knickerbocker with 141.

🏀 Basketball (boys)
On Tuesday January 20, the Rams hosted the Lakes Lancers here at Silas. They won an overtime thriller 106-92.

On Thursday January 22, Mt. Tahoma came to Silas as part of a double-header, where the Rams took them down 73-67.

The boys are currently 4^th in the Narrows division of the PSL League with an 8-4 league record. There are still 4 league games remaining this season.

🏀 Basketball (girls)
The Rams traveled to Lakes on Tuesday January 20 to take on the Lancers. Unfortunately, they lost 65-41.

On Thursday January 22, in their part of the double-header, the Rams defeated the T-birds 64-8.

The girls are currently 3^rd in the Narrows division of the PSL League with a 7-5 league record. There are still 4 league games remaining this season.

🏀 Basketball (unified)
The Silas Unified basketball team played at Graham Kapowsin High School on Saturday. Tie 30-30.

🏈 Flag Football

On Tuesday January 20, the Rams competed in their last league matches of the season. In their first game, they beat River Ridge 21-7. In their second game, they beat North Thurston 28-7.

The Rams took the 2^nd seed into the League Tournament, where they played on Friday. In their league matchup, they lost to Mt. Tahoma 42-16.

But thanks to their high seed, they have qualified for the District tournament!

🏊 Swimming (boys)

On Tuesday, January 20, Silas traveled to take on the Capital Cougars for their last meet of the season. They were joined by Shelton and Olympia at Evergreen College as an exhibition. Silas beat Capital 123-46. Swimmer of the meet was JJ Jackson breaking through the league standard in the 100 breast. Other great swims from Caleb Uemura in the 200 IM, and Andrew Vano and George Smith in the 500 free.

The Rams wrapped up the regular season with a 9-1 league record and 10-2 overall record!

🤼 Wrestling (boys & girls)
On Wednesday, the girls wrestlers traveled to the City Championships. Unfortunately, no results are available.

On Friday, the Rams hosted Mt. Tahoma for senior night! Silas came out on top, 69-12!

On Saturday, the boys traveled to Emerald Ridge for the Jag Invite, and the girls traveled to Auburn for the Athena’s Pageant. Unfortunately, no results are available.
