Track & Field – Boys & Girls

Last Thursday (May 29, 2025) through Saturday (May 31, 2025), Silas Track and Field participated in the 2025 WIAA Gesa Credit Union 2A/3A/4A State Track and Field Championships at Mount Tahoma High School.

Just making it to the State Track & Field Meet is an honor. To place in the top eight as a team or as an individual is something to celebrate. Our Rams did some celebrating in this year's meet.

Our Silas Girls finished their legendary season by making it to the awards podium to place 6th in State as a team! To place in the State Meet, your team has to have several athletes do well in their events. Our Rams did just that.

The Boys finished 36th. We had a contingent of youngsters who got their first taste of making it to State. This experience will bode well for our Boys in the years to come.

Here are the highlights for our Silas Rams:

  • Senior Addison Kelley completed her storied high school track and field career with her 1st place finish in the Triple Jump. She is a three-time state champion in this event. She also finished 5th in the State in the Long Jump. She also ran on the Girls' 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team that finished 2nd in State. She will be competing as a member of the Husky Track & Field Team at the University of Washington next season.

  • Sophomore Eva Carlson had a state meet to remember. She made it to the awards podium four times! She was the anchor (final runner) on the Girls' 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team that finished 2nd in the State. She was also the anchor on the Girls' 4 x 200 Meter Relay Team that finished 5th in the State. She also finished 7th in the State in the 200-Meter Dash and 8th in the 100-Meter Dash.

  • Sophomore Savannah Hinton made it to the awards podium two times. She finished 5th in the State in the 300-Meter Hurdles. She also ran on the Girls 4 x 200 Meter Relay Team that finished 5th in State.
  • Senior Kaela Rankin also made it to the awards podium twice as well. As a member of the 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team she finished 2nd in State. She also was a member of the 4 x 200 Meter Relay Team that finished 5th in State.

  • Senior LaMarcus Hinton finished 4th in the State in the Boys' Triple Jump. His second consecutive year placing in this event. Next season, he will be competing as a member of the Saint Martin's Saints Track and Field Team.
