Golf
Congratulations to the Silas girls golf team for placing 2nd at State this past week!

Team members include Opal Morton-Hermann, Kenley Taylor, Ella Follen, Angelina Williams, Olivia Bustamante, and Emery Nelson.

Soccer (boys)
The Rams kicked off their State tournament on Friday in a matchup against Edmonds-Woodway at Curtis High School. The Rams defeated the Warriors 3-0 to advance to the state quarterfinals.

On Saturday, the Rams faced the Bishop Blanchet Bears in the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, a last-second overtime goal by the Bears ended their season in a heartbreaking 3-2 loss.

Congratulations on an amazing season!

🎾Tennis

This weekend, two doubles teams represented the Rams at State tennis!

Claire Mock and Kate Shouse got off to a good start, winning their first match 6-0, 6-2. Unfortunately, they lost their next two matches (0-6, 0-6 ; 4-6, 6-7) to end their state run.

Lewis Wenz and Andrew Tatlonghari also won their first match, 7-5, 6-4. Unfortunately, they also lost their next two matches (2-6, 0-6 ; 6-2, 3-6, 2-6), ending their state run.

🏃‍♂️Track & Field (boys & girls)

Last week, Silas Track & Field competed at the West Central District 3 Championships. The boys placed 7th and the girls tied for 4th. The following athletes qualified for the WIAA State Championships at Mount Tahoma by placing Top 6 in their event(s):  

Luke Glenn-Leufroy (2nd in 110 hurdles)

William Sullivan (3rd in pole vault)

Cannon Howard (4th in 100, 2nd in 4x100 relay)

Oliver Buchanan (2nd in 4x100 relay)

Riley Foster (2nd in 4x100 relay)

Chris Trevino (2nd in 4x100 relay)

Jamirie Pringle (4th in shot put)

Trey Collier (4th in high jump)

Savannah Hinton (1st in 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, 2nd in 4x100 relay, 4th in 4x200 relay)

Eva Carlson (2nd in 100, 4th in 200, 2nd in 4x100 relay, 4th in 4x200 relay)

Carmya Barnes (2nd in 4x100 relay, 4th in 4x200 relay)

Kalayah Marcheselli (2nd in 4x100, 4th in 4x200)

🤽Water Polo (girls)
Last Monday, the Rams took on Puyallup with a chance to earn the 4th and final playoff spot. Unfortunately, they lost 8-3. Due to other results in the tie-breaker matchups, the Rams were eliminated from playoff contention.
