As we move from September to October and the weather continues to change, our fall sports keep pushing on! 

🏃‍♂️Cross Country (Boys & Girls): 

On Friday, Silas XC participated in a meet at Wright Park. Addison Irish and Asha Jaskar led the way for the girls. Alexander Carrion and Ridley Wood led the way for the boys.

🏈Football: 

Silas Football was on the road again this week at Mount Tahoma. Unfortunately, they lost 28-12.

⚽Soccer (Girls): 

The Rams had two games this past week, and they won both, staying undefeated in league play. 

On Tuesday, Silas defeated River Ridge at home, 3-1. JV also got the win, 6-0. 

On Thursday, the Rams earned a 3-0 shutout victory. Senior Gracie Cook got the Rams on the board first. Junior Ella Tababa added a penalty kick, and senior Tate Edmond scored with an assist from freshman Naomi Milasich. Freshman Hailey Hunt earned the clean sheet. JV also earned a 2-0 shutout win. Bailey Brown led the way with 2 goals, while Betzy Chavez Gomez and Kat Owen combined for the clean sheet.

🏊‍♀️Swimming & Diving (Girls): 

On Tuesday, the Rams defeated the Central Kitsap Cougars 141-29. Notably, Hannah Yost completed her quest to qualify for districts in all 8 individual events. Other notable swims were by Carlotta Crisswell dropping over 1.5 seconds in the 200 free, Olivia Powell dropping 3.5 seconds in the 100 free, Bailey Brunk dropping 3 seconds in the 100 free, and Natalie Aiken dropping almost 10 seconds in the 500 free. 

Silas hosted the Lakes Lancers on Thursday, taking the 137-47 win and moving the Rams to 4-1 on the season. 12 swimmers dropped times, including Ava Tanton dropping over 2 seconds in the 50 free, Harper Willet dropping almost a second, Kenedee Hillis dropping over 4 seconds in the 100 fly to qualify for districts, and Jennifer To qualifying for districts. Slone Hardwick and Charlotte Allen both also dropped times, nearing the time needed to qualify for league championships.

🎾Tennis (Boys): 

On Tuesday, the Rams lost a close match to Central Kitsap, 2-3. #1 singles Lewis Wenz and #1 doubles Andrew Tatlonghari and Orion Oudomsouk won and remain undefeated for the season. #2 doubles Jack Strayer and Cody Nguyen almost pulled out a victory but fell short 3-6, 6-7. JV also lost their first match of the season. Shoutout to Jacob Anderson and Bruce Rhee for the lone victory.

On Thursday, Silas traveled to Peninsula and won 5-0. #1 singles Lewis Wenz had to go three sets to pull off the victory. All other varsity matches were won in straight sets. Congrats to Andrew, Orion, Zack, Quinn, Braden, Cody, and Jack. The Rams are now 3-2 on the season. JV also dominated 6-1, improving their record to 4-1. Shoutout to Aiden and Leo for a dominant 6-2 win.

🏐Volleyball: 

On Monday, the Rams volleyball team hosted North Thurston. Unfortunately they lost 3 sets to 0.

On Wednesday, the Rams hosted their second match of the week against Lakes. They also lost 3 sets to 0.
